The mLearn Conference, 2016: University of Technology, Sydney
The 15th mLearn conference was held in the University of Technology, Sydney which is also one of the MTTEP project partners. The project coordinator (Professor Kevin Burden) and Dr Matthew Kearney, based in UTS, both represented the MTTEP project at this event. Kevin outlined the purpose and aims of the MTTEP project before sharing the mobile learning toolkit with participants. This came as part of a panel discussion organised by project members, focused on the role of Theory and practice in Mobile Learning (find out more about this here).
A number of participants were teacher educators and the toolkit was seen to be a useful and much needed addition to support their work with trainee teachers and teachers undertaking PD. A number of schools also suggested they would be interested in using the toolkit as part of their PD work with teachers.

Poster sessionIn addition to the panel discussion Kevin and Matthew also presented a poster to showcase the main elements of the forthcoming Mobile learning Toolkit. This was very well received by delegates and although it did not win a prize for best poster it was referenced in a number of social media outputs.
